Summary:

This book is a short poem about a pig who loves to sing in every season, and encourages the readers to be happy by singing a song for every season too. I love how the pig is always happy. In the beginning of every page, there appears the name of every month, and in every month the pig is having different kinds of fun. In the end of the poem, the pig tells the readers that he is having fun doing all these activities with his other pig friend.

Book Evaluation:

1) I would recommend this book to my class because it transmits happiness to the readers. I also, love that the poem is short, but there is a continuation of a story throughout the poem, and it gives a moral lesson at the end of the poem. This book would be great for the younger audiences, who are learning how to differentiate word spelling, word pronunciation, and word meaning. Also, the illustrations are great because it helps the readers understand the meaning of the words and the poem.

2) I would recommend this book for the younger elementary students. From Pre-Kinder to First grade level.

3) I would include this book in the unit of Language Arts. After, reading the book, I would have them color a picture of a word they learned that day, and write the word down.
