The story, ''The Hello, Goodbye Window,'' is about the kitchen window at Nana's and Poppa's house. This window is where the magic happens for one little girl. The little girl, calls this window the Hello, Goodbye window because that is where everything important happens for her and her best memories happens too. The little girl's Nana and Poppa are in the kitchen most of the time, so the little girl, climbs up the magic window, and her grandparents make silly faces, so she gets a lot of extra fun and hellos, before she comes inside. By the Hello, Goodbye window, the little girl watches her Poppa as he plays the harmonica. Before, bedtime, Nana turns off all the lights, and the little girl and Nana, stands by the window to watch the stars. When, the little girl's mom and dad comes to pick her up, she feels happy and sad to leave. When, she leaves, they always stop at the window to say goodbye. The little girl sees many windows in front of Nana's and Poppa's house as she leaves, but the Hello, Goodbye window is her favorite. She hopes to one day own a house, when she grows older, and have the same window as her grandparents have to make good memories too.

Book Evaluation:

1) I would recommend this book for my class because I think many students, especially the younger ones, like the Pre-Kinder would be able to relate to the main character.  I can see this book more relatable for Pre-kinder and Kindergarten children, since they probably are more attached to their grandparents, and at that age, they love to color. I also love how the book illustration is made of water coloring.

2) This book would be appropriate for the grade level, Pre-Kinder to Third grade.

3) I would use this book in the unit of Art and Language Arts. I would definitely have them use water coloring activity, after their read out loud time.
