Summary:
This book is about a girl, who remembers a lot of things she use to do in her childhood. She remembers happy memories, and she celebrates herself as she looks back into her childhood. The girl expresses herself as joyous because she realizes that now that she's older, she has more freedom and independence on herself. For example, when the girl was little, she use to ride on a baby car seat, but now that she is an adult, she enjoys driving a car on her own. In the end of the story, she says that when she was little she did not know what a family was, dreams were, and did not know who she was. Now that she is older, she understands these values, and she now knows who she is.
Book Evaluation:
1) I would recommend this book to my class because the book gives a joyful idea in what is like to be all grown-up. It is important to teach the children to value their childhood too.
2) I would recommend this book from the grade level of Pre-Kinder to Second grade level.
3) I would include this book in the unit of Reading. I would teach them how to use diagrams. I would have them compare and contrast the girl's childhood and adulthood.
