Summary:
Knuffle Bunny by Mo Williams, is a fiction and a humorous story about a toddler girl name Trixie, who spent a day with her daddy to run on an errand. Trixie, however, did not know how to speak words because she was still learning how to make words. Trixie and her daddy went to the park and then went to the laundry mat. Trixie helped her daddy in putting in clothes into the laundry machine. She even got to put money into the machine. Trixie was happy, until she realized that on her way back home, she had lost her toy, Knuffle Bunny. She began to get really upset, and try telling her dad, but her dad could not understand her winning. So, Trixie's dad got really upset too, and when he got home, Trixie's mother asked for Knuffle Bunny. It was then, when they all ran to all the places that Trixie and her dad had gone to, to look for Trixie's toy bunny. Finally, Trixie's dad found her bunny inside the washing machine, and Trixie's got so happy that she said her first words. Trixie's first words were Knuffle Bunny.
Book Evaluation:
1) I would recommend this book to my class because it is a family related basis and I love the picture illustrations too. The first thing that caught my attention, when I saw the book cover was the illustrations because I saw the illustrations of cartoon characters and what was interesting to me to see was that the background looked very real. It reminded me of a cartoon show that I use to watch on Cartoon Network, called The Amazing World of Gumball. I am pretty sure many kids would be fascinated to see the pictures illustrations in this book.
2) I would recommend this book for the grade level, Pre-Kinder to Third grade level.
3) I would recommend this book in the unit of Art. I would have the class draw the sequences in which the characters took place.
