Summary:
This story is about a little fish who wore a hat that was not his. The fish stole the hat from a big fish that was sleeping. The little fish believed that the big fish would not notice who stole his hat, since the big fish was on a heavy sleep. There was someone who saw the little fish though, and that was a crab. When, the big fish woke up, it seemed as if the crab told the big fish who had taken his hat. The little fish thought that he would be able to hide inside big plants, but little did he know that the big fish would go in there too. In the end, the big fish found his hat.
Book Evaluation:
1) I would recommend this book to my class because it was a fun book to read and it also teaches the importance of not taking of what it is not yours. This book would be a perfect book to use on the first day of class, when I introduce them the classroom expectations. I would write not steal and respect others belongings to one of my classroom rules.
2) I would recommend this book to the grade level Prekindergarten to Third grade level.
3) I would use this book in the unit of Art. I would have them either draw or create a paper art that would symbolize the fish on hat. Then, I would post their art on the special bulletin board.
